ALBUQUERQUE — Albuquerque police have arrested a well-known New Mexico doctor after finding him with a prostitute and cocaine.
Police spokesman Robert Gibbs told KRQE-TV on Thursday that Dr. Richard Lieberman has been charged with hiring a prostitute and could face drug charges.
Detectives say they spotted Lieberman on Wednesday night stop and pick up a prostitute while driving his BMW.
Authorities allege Lieberman and the woman began snorting from a nasal spray bottle at a traffic light.
Police followed the couple to the woman’s apartment, where she confirmed Lieberman had agreed to pay her $100 for sex acts. Detectives say contents in the spray bottle tested positive for cocaine.
Lieberman is the founder of Urgent Care Santa Fe and is credited with starting several clinics throughout New Mexico.

For his part Wiener has said repeatedly he was only sightseeing with his fiancée in Angeles City, one of the world’s largest red-light districts, when the picture was taken during a layover between flights in the Philippines.
A Seattle-based photographer documenting Angeles City took the photo and posted it on his blog .

A Santa Fe doctor was arrested after he hired a prostitute, the Albuquerque Police Department said.
An officer said Richard Lieberman picked up a prostitute near Central and Espanola on Wednesday.
The prostitute told officers Lieberman offered to pay her $100 for sexual favors.
She also said the two were snorting liquid cocaine on the way to her apartment.
Lieberman could potentially face more charges.

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A prominent New Mexico doctor found himself in a compromising position Wednesday after Albuquerque Vice detectives caught him with a prostitute and cocaine.
Doctor Richard Lieberman has quite a resume. According to his bio, he is the founder and director of Urgent Care Santa Fe. He also started medical clinics in Espanola, Los Alamos, Taos and Las Vegas. Before that he ran the E.R. at Christus Saint Vincent, even serving as the Chief of Staff at the hospital. Lieberman is also the Medical Director for the Santa Fe Ski Patrol, and has a ski run named after him.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) – The state Monday began a partial takeover of the troubled border town of Sunland Park after the state auditor released a report accusing officials of using the town’s multi-million-dollar budget as personal slush funds.

Immediate following the release of the report from Auditor Hector Balderas, Finance and Administration Secretary Tom Clifford suspended the town’s finance director and purchasing agents and said the state was taking over those functions.

Balderas said the report was just the beginning of his probe and said he was also asking the state to investigate the town’s city council.

Many of the key players accused of wrongdoing in the town have already been fired or otherwise removed after being charged in a series of criminal cases that have been unleashed since state, local and federal officials descended on the notoriously dysfunctional town in February to investigate election fraud.
Balderas’ findings included former mayor pro-tem Daniel Salinas using tax dollars to pay for prostitutes in Mexico. He said city officials were also canceling the utility bills of friends and family.
